Everything I've Got
The Misenchanted Page is the personal website of author Lawrence Watt-Evans. It consists of three domains (watt-evans.com, ethshar.com, and misenchantedpress.com) and assorted blogs and other appendages, totaling well over 500 HTML files -- but that's counting pop-ups and redirects. (All pop-ups require user action, I don't use involuntary ones.) The site is entirely the property and creation of Lawrence Watt-Evans, who has been accumulating stuff here since 1995. All content is the author's responsibility, and copyrighted. All rights reserved.
Links below are color-coded by domain; blue is watt-evans.com (the main site), while green is ethshar.com and red is misenchantedpress.com. Some blogs also get their own colors. Many of the blue links go to elsewhere on this page.
There is at least one link to almost every HTML file on the site. Some bits appear more than once because they fit multiple categories. The only files that do not have links are ones in the "private" area, individual blog entries (of which there are hundreds), serial chapters where the text has been removed, and this one, sitemap.shtml.
As of October 30, 2022, here's what I have:
- The Front Door: The starting point, with a summary of current news about the author's work, plugs for recent and upcoming books, and a few links to get you started. This should be everyone's first stop.
- Main site: The core from which one can theoretically find one's way to anything on the site -- though in practice that might take some doing. Primarily focuses on my work as a writer, since after all, I assume that's what most visitors are interested in, but it also contains links about other matters.
- The World of Ethshar: The base for everything about my longest-running fantasy series.
- Misenchanted Press: The home of my small press, which publishes some of my own work as well as a very few other authors.
From there, things branch, and branch again -- each of these will take you farther down the page to further subdivisions:

Redirects:
When I first started assembling a webpage, back in 1995, I was still using DOS 6.21 for some things. (Kids, ask your parents, or grandparents.) DOS did not allow filenames to exceed eight letters (plus a three-letter extension). I had to use lots of severely-shortened names in my URLS.
I never eliminate a file without leaving a redirect at that address, so that anyone following an old link will wind up in the right place -- I don't ever want anyone to get a "404: Page Not Found" anywhere on my site. So I still have redirects at all those old addresses, as well as a few with more eccentric explanations.
Here, then, is a list of all the redirects on the Ethshar website: (The purple names are not links; they're just colored to make them stand out better.)
- blood.htm and blood.shtml both redirect to The Blood of A Dragon.
- cover.htm redirects to the explanation of the cover of The Unwilling Warlord.
- dagger.htm and dagger.shtml both redirect to The Spell of the Black Dagger.
- flight.htm and flight.shtml both redirect to Taking Flight.
- ithanalinscollection.shtml redirects to Ithanalin's Restoration -- a title change was responsible for that one.
- madness.shtml redirects to Night of Madness.
- mirror.shtml redirects to The Spriggan Mirror.
- restore.shtml redirects to Ithanalin's Restoration.
- spell.shtml redirects to With A Single Spell.
- sword.shtml redirects to The Misenchanted Sword.
- theFinalCalling.shtml redirects to The Unwelcome Warlock -- title change.
- TheFinalCalling1.shtml redirects to Chapter One of the original serial of The Unwelcome Warlock -- I had a link with a typo, omitting the 0, so I created the redirect in case I'd done it other places I hadn't found.
- thesppigganexperiment0.shtml redirects to The site of the original serial of The Spriggan Mirror -- someone else had tried to link to my page and typoed it, so I put in a redirect for anyone following the link.
- warlord.shtml redirects to The Unwilling Warlord.

- Alternate versions of pages about short stories:
- thechaperone.shtml: "Chaperone": I hate it when I get the title of one of my own stories wrong; I originally included "The" in the webpage, but the published story is simply "Chaperone," no article.
- minustworeaction.shtml: "One Night At A Local Bar": The Space Gamer retitled the story "Minus Two Reaction." I've never liked that and always used the original title everywhere else, but I figured I should provide the redirect just in case.
