The 2nd Annual DEATHREALM AWARDS:
Each year the readers of Deathrealm voted to determine the recipients of these awards. The awards themselves, elegant engraved plaques, were presented at the World Horror Convention.
The 1996 recipients were:
- Best Anthology: Dark Love, Edited by Nancy Collins, Ed Kramer & Martin Greenberg
- Best Artist: Chad Savage
- Best Collection: Pentacle, by Tom Piccirilli
- Best Magazine: Lore, edited by Rod Heather
- Best Novel: The Safety of Unknown Cities, by Lucy Taylor
- Best Short Fiction: "Chatting with Anubis," by Harlan Ellison
