I got invited to submit a story to an anthology called Enchanted Forests, and I thought it sounded like fun (I like forests), so I wrote "Out of the Woods." It riffs on some very traditional tropes about supernatural forces lurking in forests.

That's really all there was to it. No cute anecdotes or clever ideas. I like to think I did a decent job thinking through the premise, but other than that, there's nothing remarkable to report.
