Chapter Seven of The Final Calling is now on the web. An explanation of how it works is here. If money comes in steadily, I'll post a new chapter every Wednesday; as of right now, it's paid through Chapter Fourteen, and I've written to partway through Chapter Fifteen.
This is the eleventh Ethshar novel, the one where readers finally find out what was going on in Aldagmor.
Meanwhile, the serial of of Realms of Light will continue; the fourteenth chapter has been posted, and the fifteenth is mostly paid for. The first draft has been completed -- twenty chapters -- and sent to donors; the final draft has also been completed and sent to FoxAcre Press, and contracts have been signed. No publication date has been set as yet.
A Young Man Without Magic, first in a two-book deal with Tor, is now available in hardcover, with the paperback scheduled for March 2011. The second volume, Above His Proper Station, is scheduled for November 2010. I regret to say that the publisher does not make it clear in their packaging that these are more or less the two halves of a single story.
FoxAcre Press has reprint trade-paperback editions of Shining Steel and Denner's Wreck available now. These include new "Author's Notes" at the back. Denner's Wreck has been retitled Among the Powers.
I'm still trying to dispose of much of my comic book collection; if you'd be interested in buying some of it, please check out the list I've posted. (Be warned, I haven't been as careful as I should be about keeping it up to date.)
