The Misenchanted Page Directory

At one time, this page was the Site Map for the No Frills version of the Misenchanted Page.

There is no No Frills version anymore, but as long as I've got the file here, I figured I might as well put it to use.

Actually putting together a complete directory would be a huge task, so I'm tackling it a little at a time, starting with the links that were already here...

Consider it a work in progress.

Lawrence Watt-Evans is the author of more than two dozen novels and over a hundred short stories, as well as miscellaneous other work. What would you like more information about?

News

I've started a new serial: Realms of Light, the long-delayed sequel to Nightside City. The first chapter has been posted.

A Young Man Without Magic..., first in a two-book deal with Tor, has been delivered, and I've received the editor's revision letter. The second volume, ...Above His Proper Station, is in progress. These are the beginning of a new, open-ended fantasy series.

The tenth and final issue of the Hugo-nominated webzine Helix is still up, with stories by Jeff Crook, James Killus, Elissa Malcohn, Michael H. Payne, Steven H. Silver, and finally, Lawrence Watt-Evans.

We also have poetry by Danny Adams, F.J. Bergmann, Anthony Bernstein, Kendall Evans, and Geoffrey A. Landis, and final columns by Bud Webster and John Barnes.

This issue will be available until New Year's Eve; then we shut down. Remember, even though it's the last issue, we still need to pay the writers, so please donate.

I've signed contracts with FoxAcre Press for reprint trade-paperback editions of Shining Steel and Denner's Wreck. These will include new "Author's Notes" at the back, and should be available fairly soon.

Denner's Wreck will be retitled Among the Powers.

The Turtle Moves! Discworld's Story Unauthorized, my first non-fiction book, is now available.

A French edition of Dragon Weather is scheduled for January 2009, from Bragelonne, with a gorgeous cover by Paolo Barbieri. The other two volumes of the Obsidian Chronicles should follow.

The Italian edition of The Wizard Lord appeared from Newton Compton in February 2008, and the other two volumes of the Annals of the Chosen should be published ere long.

Ethshar News:

The first two Ethshar novels, The Misenchanted Sword and With A Single Spell, have now been reissued in new paperback editions from Cosmos Books. The Unwilling Warlord will be out in November, and The Blood of a Dragon is scheduled for January.

The latest, The Vondish Ambassador, is now available in a limited first-edition trade paperback. Most of the print-run has been distributed, and the remaining copies are offered on my Books for Sale page. Contracts have been signed for a mass-market edition from Cosmos, scheduled for June 2009, and an e-book edition should be available from Fictionwise very soon.
