![]() Coming from Wildside in October -- the novel that started it all!

In April 2005, on a whim, I started serializing a novel called The Spriggan Mirror on the web, taking donations to justify the time and effort I was putting into it.
It worked a whole lot better than I expected, and after it was finished I decided to do it again. Only this time, I wanted to set it up a little better, with a more permanent home, and some nice little extras -- make it a place people would want to come back to regularly. Not just a weekly serial, but a whole website's worth of cool stuff. Something a little like a webzine, a little like a library.
I came up with a name for it, and here we are.
The front page will have links to any and all serials I'm writing, any I've finished that are still available, and any other cool stories I've added. What's more, in a spirit of writerly fellowship, I'll link to any other reader-supported serials I know about, and selected webzines I think deserve attention.
I'm hoping to do little seasonal extras, maybe some jokes, games, whatever. It's not a webzine because it won't have a set schedule; it's not exactly a library, either, since stories may come and go. There may be new stories, there may be reprints. I intend to be the sole arbiter of what's on it, and to include anything I think is cool that I can get the rights to.
It's not going to all appear at once; instead it'll accumulate over time.
Any PayPal donations will be gladly accepted. If they're made with the button on a story page, the money will all go to the author of that story; if they're made with the button on the front page, the money will be divided among all the authors with stories on this site at the time. (I'm afraid I'm not quite generous enough to give shares to Phil and Kaja Foglio for Girl Genius, or to Diane Duane for The Big Meow, or whoever else I might link to.)

Feel free to include a note specifying how much is for whom; I'll be happy to divvy up the money appropriately.
And that's it. That's what this is. Enjoy!
