Remove frames Smart Pop

Since 2003, I've been writing occasionally for BenBella Books' "Smart Pop" series -- books of essays about various aspects of pop culture.

These have been a lot of fun, and the pay isn't bad. I keep telling myself I'd do better to concentrate on my fiction, but when someone offers me money to write about Buffy or Star Trek, how can I resist?

This is probably why I haven't been writing short stories lately, but those are the breaks.
